born in Rome, Italy and currently living in New York, is an internationally renowned painter. Mariani has exhibited extensively, including the Center Georges Pompidou, Paris; Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles; Mathildenhohe, Darmstadt, Germany; Palazza Te, Mantova, Italy; Museum of Modern Art, New York; and the Frye Museum, Seattle, just to name a few. Mariani is the recipient of the Feltrinelli Prize from the Accademia dei Lincei in Rome.
